  1. Click on "Online shop" in the left-hand side menu;
  2. Select the "Themes" tab;

  4. Finally, click on "Install" or "Buy" (depending on whether the theme is free or paid).

Step 3: Configure your shop's general settings

In order to have an attractive and organised Shopify site, it's important to add and classify your products correctly. Here's how to do it:

  1. Click on "Products" in the left-hand side menu;
  2. Click on "Add a product";
  3. Fill in the product information, including title, description, price and image;
  4. Use tags and collections to organise your products by category or type.

Inventory management

Shopify also offers a stock management system that allows you to track the quantity of each product available. To activate this option, simply tick the "Track quantity" box when creating or modifying a product.

Step 5: Customise your shop's header and footer

To give your Shopify site a consistent, professional look, it's important to customise theheader and the footer. You can add your logo, links to different pages on your site, and various elements such as social network icons or search options. To customise these sections :

  1. Go to "Online shop", then to the "Themes" tab;
  2. Click on "Customise" to access the theme editor;
  3. Select the 'Header' and/or 'Footer' sections from the right-hand side panel, and adjust the settings to suit your preferences.

Step 6: Configure static pages and the blog

Static pages are pages that do not change regularly (e.g. About, Contact, FAQ). To create a new page, go to "Online shop" > "Pages", then click on "Add a page".

It's also a good idea to add a blog to your Shopify site to share news, tips or updates about your products and services. Go to "Shopify" > "Blog" to start publishing content.
